Ingredients of Chole chicken

  • 750 gms Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Chole
  • 1 cup Sliced onions
  • 2 medium Tomatoes puree
  • 4 tbsp Anardaana
  • 2-4 Slit Green Chilli
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Red chilli powder as required
  • Haldi as required
  • Salt as required
  • Whole spices
  • Ghee for cooking

How to Make Chole chicken

  • 1Soak chole overnight and pressure cook until soft with cardamom, cinnamon and cloves and bay leaf.
  • 2.In a pan heat ghee and fry the chicken for 5-8 mins. Take it out and keep it aside.
  • 3.In the same pan, add whole spices and sliced onions and fry until pinkish brown. To this add ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone
  • 4.Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, haldi, and salt as required. Let this cook until the masala leaves some oil.
  • 5.Now add the fried chicken, Mix and cook for a while
  • .6.Add cooked chole, slit chili and pomegranate. Cover and cook for 15-20 mins or until properly cooked.
  • 7.After taking off lid add garam masala and coriander and let that mix for 2 mins
  • 8.Your Chole chicken is ready, serve hot with paratha, tandoori roti or rice.
